General Electric gas turbine power units installed at Talakhovskaya and Mayakovskaya Central Heating and Power Plants in Kaliningradskaya Oblast

In the period from 6 OCT 2016 to 05 FEB 2017, our Company (100 TONN MONTAZH) set on a foundation four sets of General Electric gas turbine power units at Talakhovskaya and Mayakovskaya Central Heating and Power Plants (CHPP) in Kaliningradskaya Oblast. Each gas turbine power unit consists of three parts, i.e. turbine, generator and reducer. Total mass of the assembled equipment is 975 tonnes. GP500 hydraulic gantry system was used for operations. In the harshest conditions of the construction site of the electric power stations our specialists (100 TONN MONTAZH) showed their high qualification and skills that allowed them to carry out all the works in strict compliance with the work schedule moving from one station to another and using only one gantry system.

Turbine generator adjusted and gap-measured

In the period from 26 JUL to 24 AUG 2016, our Company on request from Design Machine-building Bureau Gorizont, a branch of Gas-Turbine Engineering Research and Production Centre Salut (AO) adjusted Т-⁠25-⁠23РУЗ-⁠ГВ turbine generator and measured its gaps. This kind of services is one of the new services provided by our Company. This project allowed us to get invaluable experience in with turbine generator installation. Under supervision of an experienced advising engineer our specialists carried out all necessary installation operations.

22-tonne installation trolley relocated

In the period from 5 AUG to 17 AUG, our Company (100 TONN MONTAZH) relocated
a 22-tonne installation trolley from one mobile crane to another.
Given operational requirements, all the works were carried out in the shortest possible time with no downtime of Leningrad Atomic Power Station (LAPS-2).
Professionalism of our specialists in development and implementation of the works allowed them to accomplish all the works in due time with excellent quality.

Four gas-generator plants WÀRTSILÀ installed

In June 2016 our Company (100 TONN MONTAZH) unloaded, de-preserved, performed SKD assembly and installed four gas-generator plants Wartsila onto vibration mounts in Kazakhstan. Due to the use of a GP500 gantry system, the primary contractor managed to start installation of the equipment directly on completion of installation of load-bearing metalware of the building with simultaneous installation of the sandwich-panels. This technology considerably decreased the timelines of the works implementation. Our designers implemented an interesting technical solution, that enabled them to further accelerate the works. Prior to use the trawl for unloading, a section of the gantry tracks had been dismantled, and after the load was lifted and the trawl left the premises, this section was installed back to its place and the gantry system started to move along it with the load. The works were rather difficult for execution due to simultaneous implementation of construction and installation works at the site, as well as due to necessity to keep up with precise positioning of the gas-generator plants onto vibration mounts (1 mm tolerance). Thorough engineering of the operations, experience in handling Wartsile equipment and well-coordinated teamwork enabled our Company to perform all the operations in accordance with an approved work schedule.

GENERAL ELECTRIC generator rotor set to final position in Kazan

In April 2016 our Company continued its participation in modernization works performed at Kazan CHPP-3 (Central Heating and Power Plant-3). Within the framework of this project our Company unloaded a 390-ton GENERAL ELECTRIC gas turbine and a 317.5-ton GENERAL ELECTRIC generator stator from low loaders, installed them at a temporary storage site and then loaded them onto low loaders, unloaded them, performed rigging operations and set them on a foundation.
At this stage of works, we dealt with a complex operation of placing the rotor into the body of the generator. A special Work Method Statement was developed for these works. It took into account all the peculiarities of loads manufactured with application of unique high-precision technology and requiring a respective approach. As a result, the Work Method Statement was approved by the GENERAL ELECTRIC representatives and all the works were accomplished within the time limits prescribed for assembling operations with high quality.

Energy equipment shifted and unloaded at Verkhnetagilsky State Power Station

In April 2016 our Company (100 TONN MONTAZH) loaded and shifted a 57-ton low pressure rotor, a 175-ton low pressure stator and a 24-ton high pressure rotor from a temporary storage site to the main building at the construction site of Verkhnetagilsky State Power Station in Verkhny Tagil (Sverdlovskaya Oblast).

A special slinging scheme with the use of pins was designed for lifting of the low pressure rotor. The works were complicated by the necessity to shift the loads along narrow washed out clay roads under the rain.

All the works were performed at a very high speed ahead of the originally approved schedule.

Two gas turbine power units shifted and set on a foundation within the premises of Perm State Power Station

Within the period from March, 18 to April 30, 2016 within the framework of Power Unit ПГУ-800 МW Contruction Project, our Company (100 TONN MONTAZH) shifted two sets of SIEMENS gas turbine power units within the premises of Perm Sate Power Station and set them on a foundation on request from Firma INTREK and PGU CZEM (St.Peterburg General Contractor Managment, North Assembling Directorate of Sevzapenergomontazh). Each gas turbine power unit consists of two parts, i.e. turbine and generator. Total mass of the assembled equipment is 1,248 tons. The GP1000 hydraulic gantry system was used for operations. In the harshest conditions of the construction site of Perm State Power Station, our specialists (100 TONN MONTAZH) showed their high qualification and skills that allowed them to carry out all the works in strict compliance with the work schedule approved by general contractor INTER RAO-Engineering.

GENERAL ELECTRIC gas turbine and generator stator set on a foundation to final position in Kazan

Within the period from October to December 2015 our Company participated in modernization works performed at Kazan CHPP-3 (Central Heating and Power Plant-3) Modernization works performed at Kazan CHPP-3 consist of the construction of a new power unit including one of the largest in the world and the only one in Russia GENERAL ELECTRIC 389 MW 9HA.01 gas turbine.

Within the framework of this project our Company unloaded a 390-tonne GENERAL ELECTRIC gas turbine and a 317.5-tonne GENERAL ELECTRIC generator stator from low loaders to a temporary storage site and then loaded them onto low loaders, unloaded them and set them on a foundation. Proper engineering evaluation made it possible to accomplish all the works within the prescribed time limits with high quality.

Technological equipment installed at Independent Gas-fired Power Plant within the premises of Angstrem-T Plant

In October 2015 our specialists (100-TONN MONTAZH) accomplished turn-key mechanical installation of technological equipment of Independent Gas-fired Power Plant within the premises of Angstrem-T Plant in Zelenograd (Moscow). Within 13 months our specialists completed the following works: unloading and installation of five Wartsila gas plants (total weight in assembled condition 180 tons each), installation and laying of oil system pipes, diesel fuel supply system, water cooling system, exhaust system and pressurization system. The equipment for heat-recovery system and boiler-house was also installed. Within the framework of starting-up and adjustment all the systems and pipelines were rinsed, pickled and tested.

Technological equipment for the power plant was developed and supplied by Finnish Concern Wartsila. The equipment for the boiler-house was supplied by Buderus, a subsidiary of German company Bosch.

Gas turbine power units SIEMENS installed at Verkhnetagilsky State Power Station

In August 2015 our Company shifted a 305.9-ton SIEMENS SGT5-4000F gas turbine (Germany) and a 325.7-ton SIEMENS SGen5-1200A electric generator (Holland) from a temporary storage site and set them on a foundation at the construction site for a 420 MW vapour gas power unit of the gas turbine at Verkhnetagilsky State Power Station (Sverdlovskaya Oblast, Verkhny Tagil).

This project required the use of a GP1100 gantry system and a modular hydraulic trailer. Under the heavy rain our specialists demonstrated their high qualification and professional skills at the construction site of a new vapour gas power unit at Verkhnetagilsky State Power Station. Application of modern technologies and proper engineering evaluation made it possible to accomplish all the works within the shortest timelines stipulated in the work schedule approved by general contractor Firma INTREK (OOO) and technical customer INTER RAO-Engineering (OAO).
