Gas turbine KAWASAKI set on a foundation in Moscow

In November 2015 our Company (100 TONNE MONTAGE) shifted a 63-tonn conveyor gas turbine KAWASAKI GPB80D into the power plant of Moscow Energetic Institute (MPEI) and set it on a foundation. The operations had to be performed through an opening that was only 330 mm higher than a lifting machine, which complicated the process. The opening could not be enlarged because of a gas pipe located over it. Besides, the width of the lifting machine post unpacking turned out to be larger than the value stated in the operation documentation. Well-coordinated teamwork of our specialists and the specialists of our primary contractor Rosengineering Energy enabled us to accomplish the work within 2 days.
